It usually happens because the temperature jump was just too steep. You hit cold glass with a blast of heat, the material panics, and &lt;em&gt;snap&lt;/em&gt;.&#xA;We deal with this using short-wave infrared (IR) heating elements that can change power on a dime.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The trick is in the ramp&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;You can&amp;rsquo;t just flip a switch and leave a lamp running full blast. That&amp;rsquo;s a recipe for disaster. You have to ease into it.&#xA;Our IR elements use thyristor control, which is basically a fancy way of saying we can dial the heat up and down in real-time. They pack a ton of power into a tiny space.&#xA;The real magic here is the short-wave radiation. Unlike long-wave heat, which just sits on the surface, short-wave radiation actually sinks deep into the glass. This means the core of your container hits that annealing temperature without the outside getting scorched.&#xA;Now, a heads-up on the setup: your line speed dictates your wattage. High-wattage tubes are great for fast cycles, but they&amp;rsquo;re hungry. They put a lot of pressure on your electrical panels, so make sure your wiring and cooling fans can actually handle the heat these things put out.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Keeping things running&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Nobody wants to spend their &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.net&#34;&gt;afternoon&lt;/a&gt; rewiring an entire oven. That&amp;rsquo;s why we use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. They&amp;rsquo;re drop-in replacements. Swap them out and get back to work.&#xA;One thing, though:&lt;strong&gt;be careful with the quartz.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;It can handle insane heat, but it hates physical impact. And for the love of everything, keep your oily fingerprints off the tubes. Those smudges create hotspots that burn the lamps out way too early.&#xA;Just keep them clean. If you see a lamp flickering or dimming, swap it immediately. If you leave it, you&amp;rsquo;ll end up with uneven heating zones and a pile of rejected glass.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
